Steve Hall worked alongside Bruce Beveridge setting up the Titanic Research & Modeling Association (TRMA), constructing the initial online website and then later penning several research articles for the site pertaining to the Olympic and Titanic’s photographic record. As a consequence of his initial involvement with the association he was appointed a TRMA (Foundation) Trustee and served in that position between 1999 and 2003.

  Over the last decade Steve an acquired an extensive library of period maritime publications, journals and newspapers as well as Titanic, Olympic and Britannic publications and other White Star Line related books.

  Also amongst his collection are Olympic construction plans and drawings, acquired through Harland & Wolff Technical Services Dept. These plans and drawings were used extensively during the preliminary research period for the writing of the first Beveridge & Hall Titanic books , Olympic & Titanic, —

The Truth Behind The Conspiracy through Six Star publishing in March 2004. Since the book’s release it has been well received, selling in large numbers around the world and available through most libraries.

  Steve has been collecting period postcards of Titanic, and Olympic for over fourteen years, buying, swapping and selling from recognized dealers and traders through auction houses and online. Today his photographic portfolio of Olympic-class imagery is amongst one of the finest collections privately held.

  From 1996 through to 1998 he worked with the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum's Photographic Unit marketing (by arrangement) their Titanic collection. During this period he sold and supplied Titanic and Olympic photographs through —

  Today he’s often contacted by radio stations, television / news networks and newspaper agencies to present comment on both past or present expeditions to the wreck, current theories, research or latest -

discoveries surrounding the ship. Steve's also had Titanic articles published in the printed media, he's regularly invited to conduct Titanic talks and discussions with primary and older secondary year history students on maritime history and in 1998, for his commitment to Titanic / Olympic and WSL research accepted a foundation membership to the newly formed Titanic & Steamship Historical Society Of Australia Inc.

  Although a successful Titanic co-author, he's also a children's author, working as time permits between Titanic research projects and other commitments on his second series of books, the Dan Wilton Adventures, which should be published late 2009. Other titles by Steve include: Kats’ Company Series, The Ghost Train, The Lochness Mystery And Lost On The Moors.

  His previous profession is radio & satellite broadband installation / server applications and computer software. Steve designed the TTSM website gradually over the last 24 months, admitting it's been the largest and most complex online  —

project he’s ever attempted. Although he once designed websites professionally for clients, these days it's simply for the enjoyment.

  For those familiar with Australia's national sport, cricket, Steve is an ex-Sydney 1st-grade player, although today his more mature age dictates him playing 2nd grade alongside other senior level players. Being more interested in coaching these days he’s now an accredited Australia Level 1 coach and trainer. As of this season he’s now a coach and team manager for both Senior grade as well as Junior level District and Inter-district teams . In addition to his aforementioned coaching / training responsibilities he’s also a District and Inter-district selector.

  Today Steve lives on the N.S.W Far North Coast (Angels Beach), 20 kilometers to the south of Byron Bay - Australia's most easterly point. His other interests, apart from Titanic and cricket include, music, photography and collecting Enid Blyton 1st edition books. He also shares a keen interest in Astronomy with his daughter Karina - who's currently studying for her 'Bachelor of Science in Astronomy and Astrophysics' at Sydney's Macquarie University.
